Located in a former 17th-century convent and school, the Parador de Alcalá de Henares is an example of how architectural heritage and contemporary design can come together. Situated in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage city, the hotel combines the building's history with an interior design approach adapted to the needs of modern hospitality.
In this context, Supratex has contributed to the refurbishment of the upholstered furniture in the Santo Tomás restaurant and the hotel's guest rooms, providing textile solutions that update the spaces while preserving their aesthetic identity.
The refurbishment of the Santo Tomás restaurant, whose gastronomic offering combines traditional Madrid cuisine with references to Cervantes-inspired recipes, helps refresh the space while maintaining harmony with its architecture and interior design. In the guest rooms, reupholstering existing furniture provides an opportunity to update the interiors and extend the lifespan of the furnishings while preserving the property's distinctive character.
These interventions highlight reupholstering as an efficient and sustainable alternative for renovating hospitality spaces, making use of existing furniture and adapting it to the operational and maintenance requirements of the hospitality industry.
With this project, Supratex strengthens its expertise in textile solutions for contract spaces and heritage properties, demonstrating how furniture refurbishment can help preserve the identity of interiors while improving their functionality.
